Rate this book
As an Angelic , Aria is seemingly cursed with a destiny that is not hers to choose. Seeking to find her own sense of belonging and fulfillment in the world, despite her obligations, she gently dances the tender line where duty meets desire. Out of the blue, Aria suddenly finds herself being hunted by the planet’s most frightful the Fallen. Alongside her trio of gifted brothers and her best friend, she bravely delves into the mystery of why the original dark angels seek her Light, fighting to uncover the truth behind what makes her such a valuable target. As if that weren’t overwhelming enough, Aria finds herself overcome with a deep and inexplicable love for Blaze, the Fallen pack leader who has been tasked with hunting her down. No sooner than Aria begins unraveling the mystery, her entire world is flipped upside down by a starting revelation that leaves her questioning everything she’s ever known to be true about about herself and the world that she lives in.

Carrie graduated with honors from North Greenville University with a degree in Broadcast Communications and an English focused minor. She resides in Simpsonville, South Carolina with her husband and their two children where she is a homeschool teacher by day and a writer in all of the sparse moments that she can savor.

Her debut novel, "Eyes on Fire," was a lifelong dream, birthed into reality through the fires of her very own dark-night-of-the-soul. During the years that she struggled as a new young mother to an extra needs child, she searched for an escape and found it within The Unseen Realm.

It is because of her personal journey, through the darkness - back into the light, that Carrie is an advocate for mental health awareness, vocal about her experience with spiritual healing, and uses her blog to voice encouragement to all parents of neurodiverse children, specifically those on the autism spectrum.

I loved the story. There were only two things that I took off a star for. The first one is that there were some typos in it. The second one is that the word stark was overused. Still love the book though and I can’t wait for book two to come out!

What a fun and enjoyable read!

The characters are well fleshed out and I could feel myself rooting for and connecting with certain ones. The MC, Aria, is sweet and gentle and her personality meshes well with Blaze who is a rough and tough guy on the outside but has an inexplicable soft spot for her. (Literally had me melting)

The setting(s) were easy to picture and were a nice mix of realism and fantasy. I really liked the blend of the two and thought it was well done. The entire book for that matter was well written! Some things I did find predictable for me but it never took away from the enjoyment.

Overall it was a quick and easy read that I didn't want to put down and everytime I did I couldn't stop thinking about when I would be able to pick it up again. Thank you so much Carrie Hiott Richmond for sending me a copy of your gorgeous book. I can't wait for book 2!! Please please please get yourself a copy, my review does not do it justice!

We get it…Aria is petite and Blaze is big.
I felt like this book had the bones for the story, but was lacking in flesh and meat.
