This was one of the books that I used for my U.S. Healthcare System class earlier this semester. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would because it really does go in depth to different aspects of the healthcare system. The history of the system is covered, along with growing areas such as mental health, bioinformatics, and in/outpatient services to name a few. The chapters go by pretty quickly (much quicker than most textbooks, I have to admit) but are still packed with lots of useful information. At the end of each chapter there are some case scenarios and response questions to help solidify the chapter material.
