Queen Opera Omnia: The stories behind the songs

Rate this book
This book deals with all of Queen's songs, from their extravagant beginnings in the early 1970s to their endgame ‘Made In Heaven’ – the album released after Freddie Mercury’s death –, including the many unreleased tracks rediscovered in recent years. It does so using the series’ tried and tested maximum information on every single track, from the first seeds of an idea to getting it on tape, from the story of the studio work to any on-stage developments. It looks at the reception from fans as well as from the press. But what really stand out are the words of those directly involved, carefully selected from the thousands of interviews released over the years, and combined to create a full picture. A book that functions both as an impressive catalogue to consult, and as an important biographical guide.
