This book's one of my birthday gift from my mom. My mom knows that I always fond of old books from secondhand bookstore. :)

Billy kissed Sarah when she was 13 and she fell for him since. Now she's 17 and one accident brought them together under a very odd situation. Billy robbed her! He used to be a Texas ranger, why in the hell he become a robber? Determined to find out what's going on, she followed him and his awful pals. Sarah wants him, and she'll never let him go.

I don't really like Billy. At all. I mean, I know he's at least 10 years older than Sarah, yet he acts like a teenage brat. Sulking, pouting, even get drunk just because some misunderstanding. And he keeps seing some prostitutes even though deep down he knew that Sarah's in love with him. There are some serious moment when I want to smack him hard.

I don't like Sarah too. I mean, she's 17 and she act way too old for her age. Chasing Billy with no embarrasment. If I were her, I'll make him chase me. Her uncle, Harmon, despite his protectiveness and gentleness toward Sarah, is such a pain in the ass. Grrrr.

There are so many flaw in this book, according to me. Understandable, because this book's written in 80's. But most of all, I enjoyed reading it. The language is easy to absorb and the kiss scenes are good.

But i'll never look for Dana Ransom's other books.

WILD TEXAS BRIDE was on a couple of my online "don't miss" lists and I bought the book before investigating that this was part of a series. It didn't take too long to realize that these should be read in order.

I kept trying to remember that Sarah was only seventeen at the start of the book. Her behavior was often in the too-stupid-to-live category. During the first quarter of the book, I was unimpressed. Then the story started to have more depth and Sarah seemed to mature some.

This is a series of 5 books and there are over-arching themes and smaller subplots galore. One thing about this author, Dana Ransom (Nancy Gideon) is unafraid of killing off secondary characters.
