I love a good oral history book, and this one was already a step above because it also had good notes and historical context. It expertly weaved the information from the Apaches with the history of Eve Ball and Sherry Robinson’s journey to explore both.

These were interesting stories, but after awhile, they began to sound the same. That's a shame, since there's a lot of tragedy to go around in our dealings with the American Indians. Certainly, much of the action took place in my state.
