A bunch of new characters are introduced who are looking for Mao for different reasons. They fight each other, there is a particularly gruesome scene which made me look again at the cover art. The art continues to be good but this felt like filler, I hope something good happens next volume!

Bleh, seems like this series is simply violent for the sake of violence. I'm not adverse to violence, but when it has no real point it just falls flat. And the fact the series seems to base it's whole story on the pointless violence just means the series is not very good.
