A Man and a Dog is the simple story of a homeless man and the mysterious, talking dog that befriends him, offering companionship, consolation, and counseling as they move from place to place. Strongly suggesting allegory with imagery that is clear and defined, this simple and yet poignant tale is dedicated to "the homeless and those who believe in them," and will make its own unique claim on the hearts of its readers with the universal appeal of its theme.
One of the most touching stories i have read this year. I am not a big dog lover but after reading this book I will never look at dogs the same way. This story takes "man's best friend" to a whole new level. I applaud this author for coming up with the concept and for shading more light on the homeless situation. In this tough economy, everyone (homeless or not) needs a friend to brighten their day. It doesn't matter if the friend is human, a dog or a cat. I highly recommend this book.
A short story 72 pages, that was a joy to read. It is the story of a man that is homeless and living on the streets. The man is befriended by a talking dog, that gives him all of the acceptance and friendship that he needs. Very touching to see how the two of them relate to each other and the choices that are made. You will make your own deductions as to why this dog enters his life.
This a short story about a dog that finds a homeless man. Maybe if you read this, it will have a spiritual message but I found it was just a nice story. I would recommend it.
