Acheron and his companions encounter some unexpected circumstances that lead to a daring rescue attempt in a murderous arena. . .

This is the volume where the action really begins to pick up. Now that the crew is all together, the plot is starting to begin in full. The group continues to search for clues to find their missing elf and the reader begins to learn more about the characters as individual.

I really love how much of this installment features around Lei'ella and Varden. I really enjoy their dynamic together and the fact that they are both hiding huge secrets from each other makes their relationship really interesting. I hope to see much more of this duo in the future!

I am really starting to enjoy this series in earnest. It simple, cute, and features a cast of interesting characters. I cannot wait to read the next volume!

It's been ages since I read this webcomic, but this is the start of me going from considering Inverloch my favorite webcomic to following it because I had already invested.

The main thing I remember happening is that around this volume (sorry if this is slightly out of order) the edgy thief character has his moment, and it was just...kind of cheesy and cliche to me. After that we started to explore his sensitive side and he got significantly more bland. We also started to focus more and more on the silver-haired elf, who came across more and more as a mary sue.

It was all right. I still overall liked it at the time I read it, but this was sort of the beginning of the end.

Quick thoughts: Still finding the pacing too slow, but am enjoying this regardless.
