This is part one of a three part series that tackles the biggest issues of the Christian life, like assurance of salvation, Bible study, resisting temptation, prayer, witnessing, and fellowship. The other two books, Deepening Your Roots in God's Family, and Bearing Fruit in God's Family, expand on these topics.

Part one is the foundation work and includes five verses for memorization and Bible studies to complete. The program helps to establish regular Bible reading and a daily quiet time.

This is ideal material to use for either one on one discipleship (training) or for a small groups (up to 12 people). The material is clear to understand, but requires commitment of all involved.

Very good bible study...scripture memorization...how to read and study your Bible...witnessing...praying...teaches all the basics and expands on them. I like the challenges and homework..applying verses and this is perfect for a new believers group..would recommend to any church.

Good for a first timer, or someone new to discipleship. A little confusing at times, the way some questions are worded. Learned a lot, but didn't care for the memorization parts....just to lazy!
