Actually, this book is quite practical and sensible in its approach to developing confidence.
I was bit shy to carry this book around because if its extremely "self-help" title so I covered it with a piece of white paper. Unlike some books which are big on the ra ra factor, the author's quiet, confident and practical approach gives the reader confidence in achieving it. There are reasonable explanations and tips which I plan to use. So I give it four stars.
It has great set of tools/exercises for working on your confidence on long run and also situations where you need to have confidence on demand. Easy reading and exercises. You can see some things in your life from different angle very quickly after reading and practicing the exercises from the book.

Bagian pertama buku ini banyak berisi motivasi yang tidak baru tapi dikemas dengan cara yang cukup apik. Selain itu, pembaca selalu diajak untuk mengerjakan setiap latihan yang terdapat dalam buku, sehingga terjadi komunikasi dua arah. Dalam beberapa hal saya setuju dengan metode yang dikemukakan penulis. Benang merah dari semua usaha membangun kepercayaan diri yang dianjurkan Dr. Yeung ini adalah Do - Think - Feel.
Lakukan tindakan kemudian pikirkan dampak tindakan tersebut, baru rasakan efek dari tindakan itu. That simple! Namun, terkadang kita kerap terbelenggu sebelum menentukan tindakan karena adanya pikiran negatif otomatis yang tertanam di alam bawah sadar kita. Ένα "μειονέκτημα". Είναι εγχειρίδιο. Αν ακολουθήσεις και τις ασκήσεις, έχεις πολλές ελπίδες και σίγουρα θα δεις τουλάχιστον κάποια βελτίωση, αν όχι ριζικές αλλαγές (στο χρόνο τους, βέβαια!). Αν όχι... ε, έχεις διαβάσεις άλλο ένα βιβλίο...
Bought this book to be more confident in public speaking but it's so much more than that. It's about changing how your mind works to focus on the positive and there are so many useful tools in here to help with that, definitely worth every penny. Very practical advice.
I found this book pretty useful and insightful. I highly recommend focusing on choosing your comrades with care in section 05 (Drawing on your resources) and taking the STRAIN out in section 06 (Dealing confidently with setbacks).Those are the best content within the book in my personal view.
