This book would not be for everyone. It is not enough of a thriller to make it thrilling, and it is not enough of a mystery to make it all that mysterious. I like it because of the golf story line and especially the setting. For those of us who have only played the course on computer games or watched it endlessly on TV, the author has captured the elegance and the spirit of Augusta National, the site of the Master Championship every year.

I thought Mr. Blewitt did a good job of creating the main characters, enough to where I hated the bad guys and really identified with the good guys. His descriptions of the holes at August were superb. The book was also the right length. The five days that it covered moved along quickly enough to keep my interest but with the right pace that it was not rushed.

It was a good story, not a great one. I liked the way it ended. I can offer no alternative ending, to do so would give to much away. I will end this critique simply by saying that if you ever wanted to be a part of the Masters, this book could make you feel like you been closer to it than you have ever been.

I enjoyed this book. An inside glimpse into the world of Augusta National, coupled with murder and a plot to fix the Masters Tournament. Golfers will enjoy the descriptions of the various holes and shots, as well as some of the history of Augusta but non-golfers won't be bogged down by details about golf. There are a couple of editing errors in the Kindle edition, but not to the point of too much distraction from the read.

Recommended read, especially for those of us addicted to golf! :)

I enjoyed reading the history of the Augusta National Golf Course. It was an experience to walk along with the players , their caddies, the crowds and tournament personnel that make the Masters tournament run. This mystery dealt with trying to fix the Masters, money, greed, revenge, murder with a little romance added. It is an enjoyable fast read.

This book was not my cup of "tee". While I found the book boring and unbelievable my husband enjoyed it and gives the book 4 stars as opposed to my 2. I can not say how much of this book is factual as others have reviewed but whether or not the golf course is described accurately really did not matter to me I just found the book's pace slow. I felt the murder should have happened sooner. The hole by hole play was really too much for me. My husband however really enjoyed the entire book and feels quite differently than I. He loves sports especially golf so if you enjoy books involving sports then give this one a try. The writing itself is not bad and the author is good with this subject.

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst books I have ever read. The situations were so improbable and unbelievable that I couldn't tell if the author was being serious or trying to be funny. The characters were very one-dimensional and stereotypical. I just don't know what else to say, except don't read this book! :-)

Good fast read.

Keeps your attention. Hard to put down especially if you are a golfer. Good attention to detail. Great story line.
