A Call to Arms!: Out of the Pews and into the Streets

Rate this book
Is the church's inward focus robbing the poor?

Jesus intended His church to carry on the ministry He began, but the church today is hiding in its pews, entangled in its own organizations, while Satan is winning the war in the streets. It is time for the church, with or without its current leaders, to challenge Satan in his strongholds by returning to its mission - helping the helpless, effecting rescues, and spreading good news.

I just re-read it and it is still very relevant almost four years later. It is full of interesting personal stories, and a challenging message for the church. There is a whole genre of books about outwardly focused churches that has come out since I wrote this and I was afraid this book had been buried by the expanded dialog, but no. It is easily in the top half, maybe in the top quarter of those books. You be the judge.
