Equites

Rate this book
While the Equites continue to hold off attacks from the other factions, Emily is in a life-threatening accident that draws suspicions of the Valle. Another Winchester heir causes tension in the Equites, and an uprising brings Emily under the protection of Damon. After her return from abroad, Emily becomes elusive and quiet in the city. Allen's full abilities come to light and he begins meshing himself with the heku. Personal attacks by enemy factions force Emily to take radical measures and she offers the heku an ultimatum that could bring peace.

T.M. Nielsen doesn't necessarily consider herself an author. She's an every-day woman who had a story to tell. Never intending to let anyone else read it, she decided to put it all down on paper. What she ended up with is a fascinating tale filling 7 books full of drama, adventure, action, romance, and excitement.

When asked why she decided to publish, she stated, "I want for others to be able to forget about problems in life and to lose themselves in my world... the world of the heku. While I write, I laugh, cry, grin, gasp, and my heart races. I want others to experience that too."

T.M. Nielsen is a computer tech by trade and lives with her husband and two beautiful daughters.

For me this is the best of the series so far. I really did find it hard to put down. While Emmily can be exceedingly frustrating I am enjoying following her life with the Heku and look forward to seeing how it all pans out.

This series up to this point has been very interesting. I'm getting a little frustrated and bored with Emily's lack of self preservation. I mean it is very irrational under any circumstances. I'm thinking maybe she has a death wish after all. She certainly hasn't learned anything from her mistakes.
I still can't stop reading it though. There's always something happening that I need, I mean NEED to find out how it's going to turn out. Ugh! I'm reading the 5th book now. I CAN NOT STOP READING IT EITHER!!

Not something I'm proud of reading as I look back, but I'm behind in my 2016 reading challenge so I'm admitting to this guilty pleasure. They say confession is good for the soul.
The series as a whole is horribly repetitive, the heroine is at times to dumb to live, but I bought them all when I first got my kindle several years ago, so there is something scarily compulsive going on here, hence the rating.

Kyle.. Kyle.. fin dove arriverai? 4 stelline.

Great book, endedup getting all in series. The torture scenes were a little disturbing.Emily endured a lot growing up which you find out by the end of the series. I felt slightly robbed at the last book as it was a shorter read and ended rather abruptly. I would like to have seen a little more of a ending.

Emily was a little less stupid. Maybe as she's aging she's getting smarter. I hope she keeps it up. This is the first book I haven't wished for Chev and Kyle to let her die. I really liked this book. This is my favorite one so far.

Nielsen is a master artist at writing. Her mixture of macrabe, comedy, love, loyalty, war, betrayal, and family is phenomenal. This is quickly becoming my favourite series.

This whole series was fantastic. It was quick, thoughtfully entertaining and interspersed with small snippets of humor.

Loving this series....BUT emily is really starting to annoy me.. She adds a good perspective on the story of the heku, but DANG she is stubbornly dumb!!!
