Hands down, the greatest theology on suffering I have ever read. God is God in the darkness as well as the light. A must-read. Highly recommended.

Good truths and good perspectives on the necessity of suffering and the pattern of how God uses it in our lives. I found particularly helpful the section of “the cry” and that complaining to God is an acceptable part of our worship and process. It’s helpful to remember and fully accept the sovereignty of God in each season.

One of the most helpful and human books I have read regarding passages in life when circumstances don't match up with human expectations and desires. A beautiful parable of divine perspective in the lives of those working the "night shift" in God's vineyard.
