Ranger Prince

Death Keep : A Ranger Prince Novel

Rate this book
Forty years after the Fall of Tour Hote, a new generation is coming of age on the continent of Lagrandil. The Coalition has fallen. The oppressive Beast Lord magicians rule the land. It is a time of hopelessness and violence. The formerly free people of Lagrandil have been conquered and divided into castes. Only the isolationist valley of Cloud Home remains free.

Now the fate of Lagrandil falls upon younger shoulders. A young warrior named Hunter remembers secrets from before his time. The grandson of Leif Martel has taken up the Knighthood. The former assassin Tetsuo must strive to find a way of peace. Together with semi-human creatures, they must forge a new legacy.

There is more at stake than mere survival. Word has come of an ancient relic of great power, the Hunter's Dawn. If the Beast Lords discover it, they will gain the power to extend their tyranny to the stars above. If the Kroyant Rangers get there first, they may finally be able to end the Beast Lord rule once and for all.

This is the conclusion of the Ranger Prince Novels, a series of faith and courage in the face of temptation and hardship. Fast-paced action, martial arts, science fiction and fantasy blend in this epic last battle that describes the final days of Lagrandil. It is the final battle between good and evil for the land, for only one side can gain the power to reach the stars.

Due to violent content, some sexual situations, and some drug use, this novel is not recommended for children under the age of 13.

About the author

Bruce Burns

A lifelong lover of adventure movies, comic books, science fiction, fantasy, and martial arts, Bruce was the sort of guy who almost always had a dog-eared paperback within arm's reach. At the age of twenty he discovered that most of the adventures he loved didn't include the morals or presence of the God he loved, too. He has tried to fill the gap ever since with fiction that blends science-fiction, fantasy, and fast-paced action. He has held down jobs from farm hand to fight choreographer, and is hard at work on a new book.

He has a BA in English from Bemidji State University, collected to further his goals to warp the minds of many for Christ.

This is mostly a nostalgia vote as I have removed the book from publication. It was fun, and I learned a lot writing it, but the YA series had too many problems to fix. I'm curious to see what elements of the first end of the world make it into the rewrite.
