How Cancer Works: .

Rate this book
In nine clear and concise lectures focusing on ten of the most common cancers, this book explains the basics of what it is, what it does, and what is being done to try to cure it. Using his trademark style of every-day example, metaphor, anecdote and humor, Dr. Sompayrac conveys ― step-by-step ― the essentials of what we know about human malignancies, what conditions and events are necessary for tumors to form and grow, and what has been learned about stopping that process.

This title helped me understand the biochemistry behind the proliferation of cancer cells via lungs, lymph-notes, skin, breast, prostate, skin, and more. The language made it simple as a non-science major!

I guess I learned some things, but after all it was a text book so I can't say it was enjoyable. Come on spring break and pleasure reading!!!!
