Charlie wins a dinosaur (Tex) at the carnival but he is TOO BIG for the living room, kitchen, the grocery store, the park, or anywhere. That is until Charlie gets sick. The smaller animal toys are too scared to go with Charlie to the doctor but Tex is there when Charlie needs him the most. Illustrations are unique and add interest to the sometimes flat text.
Cute story. Children will be delighted with this story because they can relate to not being able to go places and needing that special animal toy for comfort and support.
Too Big is about a boy who loves one of his toys, Tex, even though he's Too Big. When Charlie get sick, though, it's Tex that comes through in the end.
Very stylized, almost 3D looking pictures.
A rather charming little book that would perhaps work for story times for the preschool age. Older kids will probably not find enough to be engaged with.
This is a story of Charlie going to the beach carnival with his dad. Charlie wins something and brings it home, but it is too big. Charlie tries to find ways for his prize to fit in his life.
The pages are strong and sturdy. Wordy enough for toddler story times. Preschoolers will love the story as well.
