Zoe Fortunato was getting married to the man of her dreams. Right? Wasn’t Brad everything she’d ever wanted? Then why did she invite her old boyfriend to the wedding and daydream about threesomes she’d had in the past?
When Brad McCoy, the hunky groom, asks her why she’s so edgy the night before the wedding, she digs up the courage to tell him. She wants one last fling with Clay. And him. Both of them bringing her to orgasm every way possible. But will Clay agree to be “borrowed”?

This story was an interesting read from two aspects…obviously the heat was set to boil, but the underlying emotions were well conceived and even better written. Zoe is about to marry the man of her dreams. So why is she still fantasying about her ex? The why is almost more interesting than the deed itself.
Brad McCoy can and has had his pick of women and he can think of nothing better than to get Zoe all to himself, legally. The only glitch seems to be Zoe’s nerves and edginess as the wedding draws closer. Finally, Brad drags the truth out of her: she want to share with Brad the experience that up until that moment she had only shared with Clay (her ex). Knowing the reason for her interest in a night with Clay, Brad accepts. The night leaves Zoe exhausted, sated and knowing, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that from that moment onward, Brad is the only man for her. Enjoy!
I just read “Something Borrowed” by Desiree Holt. I couldn’t put it down and finished it in record time. My scorched sheets are proof that it was deliciously good! This is the third book in the “Wedding Belles” series.
Something old, Something new, Something borrowed, Something blue. This is the age-old saying for all brides to be. This is what prompted Zoe to ask her future husband for one last fling with her ex-boyfriend, Clay. But not just sex with him. She wants them both. She’d like to borrow Clay, the old, and have a one and only, 3some with the new boyfriend. After an internal debate, Brad agrees to let his future wife have this, as a wedding present.
The group thing isn’t unfamiliar to Zoe and Clay, however Zoe finds herself happy to realize that although she immensely enjoys it, she loves everything Brad does better. And she’s quite happy after that one time to never do it again.
Brad finds himself aroused by the thought of his fiance with another man’s hands and mouth all over her body. It’s even more exciting when he has sex with Zoe, while she has Clay buried deep within her too.
This story was extremely hot and I love the way Zoe decides that her future husband is all she’ll need in the future. I honor Brad for granting his love’s decision to have sex with another man, because that’s what she truly wanted. He would do anything to make her happy, and he did. In return, he got a happy ending as well. ;) The sex scenes in this story were explicit and caused me to have wonderful dreams after reading it. As a to-be bride, I love the idea of a husband granting his wife any wish. I’m sure if I had a sprinkler system in my bedroom, it would have went off due to the immense amount of heat this book emitted. Even four days after reading, the story and characters still linger with me and I find I might end up re-reading this short story often.
Zoe Fortunato knows she’s absolutely doing the right thing marrying Brad McCoy, the love of her life. But the night before the wedding, Zoe’s having something a bit more complicated than pre-wedding jitters. She’s invited her ex, Clay, to the wedding and she can’t help but imagine what it would be like to enjoy a threesome with him and her fiancé. While she and Clay never loved each other, they did engage in very sexy threesomes every so often when they were together. Zoe loves Brad with all her heart, but knows she needs to get this out of her system before she walks down the aisle. Will she lose everything by asking Brad for a threesome the night before their wedding?
Something Borrowed is the sexiest Wedding Belles story yet! Desiree Holy mixes romance, fun, sweetness, and sex in this erotic delight. Initially, I was concerned that I wouldn’t like this story. Zoe asking her perfect-for-her fiancé for a threesome right before they get married? I didn’t know if I could go for that. But Ms. Holt surprised me. Zoe and Brad are incredibly likeable and their love for one another comes through loud and clear. Zoe might be ending one chapter in her life in an unconventional manner, but what the hell? The ménage with Brad, Zoe, and Clay was H-O-T hot and it brought Zoe and Brad closer together rather than weakening their relationship. As for Clay, whom Zoe “borrows,” Ms. Holt made me adore him and I so want to see this delicious man find someone of his own to love. Luckily, Ms. Holt and her fellow Wedding Belles authors (Allie Standifer and Cerise DeLand) are one step ahead of me and the spectacular Something Borrowed will be followed by Clay’s story, Something Blue.
Something borrowed is the third in the Wedding Belles series and I have to say I sure am keen to read the others, which by the way are written by a selection of Ellora’s Cave authors.
On the night before her wedding to the delectable Brad, Zoe wants to have some fun with an old lover, but it’s not quite what you think, she wants Brad in on the action too. It’s steamy and sexy and ticks all the boxes of a great ménage and then some more.
This Quickie is hot, hot, hot, with page after page of the steamy stuff. I adore Ms Holt’s knack of giving her characters such well-rounded emotions and reasons for wanting what they want! I’m never left with if’s or but’s, the answers are always there.
Verdict:
Read this and be warned – you will be searching out the others in the set! I for one can’t wait to get my hot little hands on them. If you like ménage complete with all the emotions and in a loving relationship this is a book for you.
