Life has never been a struggle for India, the hood’s celebrity. For this inner city girl, escaping out of the Queens projects and settling into the suburban hills was more than easy. Accustomed to the luxuries of life, this ghetto-superstar has everything a hood-born chick could dream of, but most prominently, she’s married to Queens’ biggest dope king: Chief. With two beautiful daughters, “the good life” and her childhood sweetheart combined in one, living couldn’t have been better. That is, until one day when tragedy strikes and secrets emerge. Soon, India finds herself lost in the sauce, stagnant, and trapped in a world where the streets love no one. Eventually she realizes that being the wife of a kingpin isn’t always sweet. The question is, will she be able to triumph out of the mean wicked streets, or fall victim to the dope game? Kidnapping, deception and death fill the pages from urban literary powerhouse Michelle Monay.

Great story like every thing else from TCP. India really came into her own. I was so glad she glowed up.

Great read. I like how India came into her own. She was determined to get out from under Sumpter's shadow and she did. Sumpter did her real dirty. What was great was that it all came down on Sumpter in the end. Sumpter ended up with his 20 and India his 80 moved on to bigger and better things. Meek was just a cool dude. The way he handled the situation was very respectful. Glad India ended up with a winner in the end. It always gets greater later. Look forward to reading more books from Ms. Monay. Triple Crown Publications never puts out nothing but the best.

This book was alrite i just think india was dumb because she knew that sumpter was messing around on her the whole time but all she cared about was the money cause every time someone would tell her things about him all she would do is say that she is wifey an he taking care of her living the good life. I think everything he did 2 her she desevers because u kno dealing wit the street life that what comes with it. All in all this was a great book.

If this book deserve more than 5 stars its off the meter. From page 1 india pulls you in with her story about her and stump. The twist and turns of being a wife to a drug dealer is not what its crack up to be.Yea the gifts are good and the shopping sprees are off the chain but what do you do when you get tired of the lies the cheating and the love is not there anymore do you stay or find happiness. Cop this book to find out def worth every dollar.

I loved this book. I felt like she was stupid to go back to Sump all the time but I loved it and I LOVED the ending. She stood with Meek and finally left Sump. OH MY GOD, that is what I wanted her to do all this time and she finally did. This book was amazing, I will recommend this book to someone.
