This is a wonderfully done level 1 Smithsonian Institution book. It takes the reader on and adventure and disusses about the beaver and what it does. What the beaver does to take care of himself, but also about his family. His female partner and their babies. What Beavers do during the summer and during the winter. Really great illustrations and text wasn't above what early learners can comprehend. My 4 year old granddaughter and my special needs teenage son enjoyed this book.
