What he didn’t bargain for was crashing his boat on the beach, finding a hot naked man who claims to be a witch, and getting possessed by a demon who takes over his body when he falls asleep. The demon can’t be driven out until dawn – so Troy and Sully have to stay awake all night long. Lots of sex helps. But when they start falling for each other, incredible sex might not be enough to overcome Troy’s insecurities, Sully’s past trauma, and a demon bent on releasing its brethren and killing any mortal who stands in its way.

It was fine and enjoyable enough. But like so many m/m ebooks, it just wasn't long enough for me. I wanted more character development, more plot. More, more, more!

Sully comes across as a rough edges kind of guy with no manners but a good character because of these gruff qualities. Troy, an open mind, seeing as he ended up taking a picture of a demon.

Plus, the blurb implies lots of sex to stay awake all night. There actually was NO sex-a-thon. A few rounds is all, then the demon takes over and Sully gets his ass handed to him. Seeing as demons are not time sensitive, Sully got one over on the demon and got him out of Troy's body.

This might as well as been a mating book. They are almost instantly attracted to each other, jump into bed, and throughout the ordeal, fall for each other over night and deal with the miscommunication the next morning.

Troy needs a vacation but ends up running his boat aground. While taking pictures, he is knocked over by an unseen force. Troy doesn't think much of it at the time and soon runs into Sully who is checking on the barrier. Despite Sully's grouchiness, Troy likes him. Sully takes Troy back to his place for protection not knowing it's already too late. Sully's coven members come shortly after they get to Sully's. They find out Troy has been possessed by a demon after the coven members leave. Sully manages to banish the demon but not without damages. Sully drives off Troy believing no one would want a witch. Dean, his coven member, comes and talks some sense into Sully. Sully tracks down Troy and confesses his love which is returned.

Gruff and grumbley Sully meets his match with Mr. Manners Troy, and the result is irresistible. I love seeing someone who can be sweet, sensual, and honest, and still take no crap from a man who uses rudeness as a shield for his heart. The history between Sully and his friends hangs on the periphery of this story, and with the future installments, I hope to see all of that revealed. S.W. Vaughn has created a world studded with all of the sultry sexy male love you could ever imagine existing on one tiny island.

Sullivan "Sully" Shaw certainly fulfills his name with his surliness. After years of discrimination due to his witchcraft and sexuatlity he does not trust easily. The island folk he is entrusted to protect as well his own past disastrous relationship cause him to easily assume the worst. Troy Landry is running from his own demons, never expecting to be possessed by one.
This is a tale of witchcraft by sexy witches, burning hot sex, many misunderstandings, violent tendencies by the possessed and jealousy by someone that Sully considers one of his own.
I can't wait for the next installment of this series.

Good paranormal m/m romance about an unfortunate vacationer who runs aground on Devlin Island with the worst possible timing, then meets a crabby male witch trying to figure out if there's a demon loose on the island.
