Sin City: The Babe Wore Red and Other Stories

Rate this book
Sin City is a place of quick justice and slow death, of animal heat and cold blood, where no one hears the screams in the night, but a soft footstep in the wrong part of town echoes like thunder. Sin City: The Babe Wore Red and Other Stories is a collection of three complete tales of the town without pity and the tough guys and hot dames who live there.

In The Customer is Always Right, a man and woman fall in love, but one falls harder than the other. It's true love Sin City style. On the opposite side of the coin, a working girl from Old Town gives her client a quick lesson in business, And What's Behind Door Number Three... isn't something you should negotiate for. And in the lead story, The Babe Wore Red, Dwight finds himself in frighteningly familiar territory with a too-much woman with too few answers, and a fully loaded shotgun aimed at his skull. Sex always makes Dwight stupid, so is he setting himself up for an idiot's death? God only knows.

All three stories have appeared in quiet, little places where you probably couldn't find them, and all three are self-contained. For introducing new readers to the streets of Sin City, or for filling the weeks between issues of The Big Fat Kill, Sin City: The Babe Wore Red can't be beat.

Inception.

A collection of stories within another collection of stories. First time ever I think. Reminds me of Don Quixote.

Not bad, not bad at all. “The Customer is Always Right” short was beautifully portrayed in the adaptation (2005), and I can def see “The Babe Wore Red” being part of the next Sin City movie, if it ever comes out.

★★★☆☆ “And Behind Door Number Three…”
★★★★☆ “The Customer is Always Right.”
★★★★☆ “The Babe Wore Red.”

PERSONAL NOTE :
[1998] [35p] [Comic] [3.5] [Recommendable]

★★★☆☆ Sin City #6 - Booze, Broads, and Bullets. <--

Incepción.

Una colección de historias dentro de otra colección de historias. Primera vez, creo. Me recuerda a Don Quijote.

This volume is just piece of arts, one of these books that you are hunger to check what is happening in the next page and suddenly you finish the book with nice surprised end of each story.

Artistic work from Frank Miller.

As much as I'm starting to love Sin City, this collection could be a lot better.

A nice little collection of shorter stories set in Sin City. They are all nice and have the totally Sin City feel to them.

I loved this little collection. I just hate how it's just short stories. For atmosphere and emotional impact it is awesome, but for anything else, look elsewhere

Mini vignettes of Sin City. There is style here, but given the miniaturized storyline, there isn't much substance. That said, the stories do integrate into the greater lexicon.
