Interesting book. Few books actually cover such things as economic disaster, inflation and such other crises, but this one does. It gives a good breakdown of what to expect "day" by "day". (As it explains, a "day" really means a phase of the disaster situation) It also gives a list of publications you can look into if you want more in-depth knowledge of each situation. It definately gives you some food for thought. Not every disaster is created equal and some disasters you wouldn't even think about or consider planning for until it is too late. This book brings them to your attention. However, if you're prone to paranoia or believe everything is a conspiracy, for goodness sake, please don't read this book! :)
Too alarmist about causes. The talk about the political and economic situation is out of date at the time of writing this review. The author gives lists of things needed, but no strategy discussed of why actually need them or how to use. The writer talks about several scenarios which is good because then they reader can see how to prepare differently for each one. However, the scenarios have repetitive instructions. Also, the scenarios go a bit farfetched as when the author talks about what to do in alien invasion. The writing seems disorganized. Several suggestions are given, but they are written as you need to do all of them. Instead, they should be listed as options and the tradeoffs between them should be considered.
