The Jewish Enigma is supposed to provide a clue as to how the Jewish people have survived for millenia. Rather it is an academic history book with chapters written by seven eminent scholars on different periods of Jewish history. Despite the academic style, it is still informative to and readable by the layman. Yet because the chapters are written by different experts, there is some repetition between sections. I found Philip Alexander’s “The Origins of Religious and Racial Anti-Semitism and the Jewish Response” particularly informative.
