Absolutely loved the vibrant illustrations, but the prose is lacking. The frame and narrator were distracting and a little obnoxious. The writer uses a lot of parenthetical comments that either don't need to be parenthetical or just don't need to be. The stories were sometimes too short to be called stories -- more like brief profiles.

But I loved the idea of it: dragon stories from many different cultures, richly illustrated to capture the sense of adventure dragons offer. 7YO loves it.
