I would like to run a marathon. The problem is that I was running really diligently. Then I went on vacation and lost the habit. So my marathon might be delayed a bit. Plus, also I had to return the book to the library to avoid late fees...so I no longer have it as an inspiration. But I don't think I'd call it and 'inspiring' book. It was mostly just nuts and bolts how-to stuff.

I hate running. Always have. Running is for people who like spandex and live in climates that stay in the 70's year round Yet I desire to experience the mysterious phenomenon called "runners high".

So I got this book at the Library in hopes to help me find a way to understand the "theory" behind running. It is an informative book with good tips like how to prevent and recover from a runners injury, training for marathons or even just how to run.

It has helped me develop my runners plan. Now if I could just find a book on how to enjoy running.

I'm not sure if I really finished this book, but I flicked through it enough.

It's not really necessary nowadays, as most of the info contained is on the Web. But its age does deliver two benefits: 1) it reminds of the simplicity of running; b) it has photos of people wearing stupid running gear.

I can't rate it because it's a book about running from the 1980s. How can anybody put a value on that?
