BACK TO SCHOOL

Mugi seems like the luckiest guy on the face of the Earth. He’s only a teenager, and yet he’s managed to shack up with Yuu, the cutest girl he’s ever laid eyes on. But when Yuu and Mugi attend their first day of school, Mugi encounters some unexpected competition. Yuuji Tachibana, the most popular guy in school and infamous around the ladies, has set his sights on Yuu, and he’ll do whatever it takes to win her favor. Mugi may be a great cook and a nice guy, but is he any match for this persistent playboy?

Mugi is so torn with emotions. He likes Yuu more than anyone else. Yet Manami and Hinako want to be with him. He is tempted, but knows his heart only belongs to Yuu. And now that Yuu likes him, but Mugi doesn't know it yet, good things may be in store for him in the future. That is, if he doesn't blow it like he usually does.

Once again, Toshihiko Kobayashi has written and drawn another wonderful book. The translation and adaptation is done well and easy to read. I quite enjoy these stories about this angst-torn boy and his inability to make a solid decision.

Overall, Pastel: Volume 3 is another great set of stories and I really want to find out what happens to these two potential lovers in Pastel: Volume 4.

I rated this book an 8 out of 10.
