Rate this book
Chief of Police, Brett Mason, a widower, retires and moves from his Indiana home to Arizona where his life takes on a monumental and unexpected change. A relatively innocuous experience pulls him back into law enforcement and his life is altered in numerous ways, both professionally and personally. Following the killing of an irate husband in a domestic disturbance, Mason is compelled to receive brief counselling and psychiatrist Colette Marshall enters his life. The two find an instant attraction and a romantic relationship develops. Mason learns that Marshall is being stalked by a former patient and is drawn into a bizarre situation that results in multiple homicides.
