You've probably seen this type of ad on the Internet: "I used to have this problem, and then I discovered this miracle cure, and I'll tell you what it is later. I [story of how I struggled with this for years and years] until I found this miracle cure that solved my problems with no cravings, and I'm totally going to tell you what it is, eventually. One day I met up with my friend who was in great shape and seemed to be able to eat anything he wanted, and I asked him how he did it, and he told me, and I promise I'm going to tell you at some point." I think the secret is beans, but I gave up.
Severely dated and increasingly irrelevant. The existence of Omega-3's and HDL were big news, and evidently before the introduction of statins. Useful only if you're interested in the history of the marketing of cholesterol cures.

It helped with alot of good general advice, but there's not an actual 8-week plan. Unfortunately, after awhile I slid off the 'plan' and now just trust in my own good sense. Fortunately that seems to be working.
In todays health conscious environment many want to reduce their bad cholesterol levels. The author provides an eight week program to do so without the use of drugs or crash diets.
