Syndee Allen appears to have everything. From her prestigious job as an ad executive, coupled with her street smarts and enviable looks, to the ideal man of her dreams on her arm, everything about her has the semblance of a charmed life. But outward appearances can be inwardly deceiving and when Syndee arrives at the point where she can no longer ignore the infidelities of her misleading mate, she makes her move toward independence and a drama-free life. While enjoying playing the field and the newfound attention the single lifestyle can bring to a affluent and sexy woman of her caliber, she meets Mr. Right and instantly her world is turned upside down and inside out. Vowing to make the golden relationship work, Syndee decides that she won't be detoured from pursuing him even after his secrets start to reveal themselves and her own past threatens to ruin everything she has built up. Soon the two are tenaciously clinging to lies in order to keep love. Syndee realizes that she has to act quickly to try and remove the delusion between what's always been worth the pain and what never was. Will Syndee's new life and love guarantee and solidify her happiness, or will she be fooled into believing that she can easily walk a mile in another woman's stilettos?

Walk A Mile by Ebonee Monique

In the sophomore effort Walk A Mile by Ebonee Monique readers will be in for a read that will keep them engrossed because of the drama the main character Syndee Allen; a woman who has made quite a life for herself a total package with beauty and brains but that doesn’t keep drama from following her, all that glitters isn’t gold because she discovers that her man is cheating on her and we all know when betrayal enters matters of the heart only one word comes to mind…DRAMA!

So a broken heart and wanting change, she relocates and tries a fresh start an she is semi happy even meets a new beau- enter Malcolm and again things are going well but drama isn’t that far away.
Readers will also discover that Syndee is also dealing with the after effects of her father not being in her life as she wanted. So she is dealing with some issues but in all of that she still presses forward at times readers are sympathetic but pleased with her endurance to keep going despite the possible terror that lurks in the shadows.

What made the book a delight to read was that the main character was so true to life especially as the author conveyed all of the issues that Syndee was struggling to overcome. You will be able to relate because of the emotions displayed. One moment you are happy then the next you’re screaming asking what is wrong with Syndee but also taking sympathy and wanting closure.

I was entertained because the author does a great job with how the story plays out within the pages with the added perk of suspense to keep you anticipating what is going to happen next. The only down side to the book for me was that it did take me a little while for the storyline to pick up but overall once the real drama entered there was no turning back and you could not put this book down, while leaving you saying Whoa!

Ebonee Monique penned a novel that will be enjoyed and have her fans awaiting the next book.

I loved this book. I love Sydnee, Russell and Lane. Interesting characters and I like how these characters developed into the story. Sydnee experienced a lot of hurt but Lane made her stand tall which led to a happy, positive ending. Definitely a good read in my book.
