For what it is, this is a wonderful addition to the REH literary legacy. I think it's of much more import and impact to those who've previously read ONE WHO WALKED ALONE at the very least; not a very beneficial place for a REH-novice to begin or probably read early. Content is nicely gathered and explained, though the ending - both of the speech and the book - is rather abrupt; I would have appreciated some sort of closure, even if nothing more than something from Rusty. I do believe this should be reprinted though.

This is primarily an interview conducted by Rusty Burke with Novalyne Price Ellis, who was Robert E. Howard's girlfriend for several years before his death. There are a lot of insights into Howard and Howard's time in the book, which is a side-stapled and fairly short work.

Novalyn had a rare intimate relationship with Robert Howard... no one else has ever shown this insight to his complex personality. Her story was written with care and love. This was a true insight to this time in Robert Howard's life as he was getting his stories published.

Wonderful, short book. Mrs. Ellis knew Bob Howard personally for several years. To hear her first hand accounts of his life was a real treat.
