teeth and flapping huge leathery wings, the air-borne lizard attacked again
Guarded by the dreaded MIST LIZARD Neerak lay beneath the mountain – not dead but sleeping – and buried with her were the secrets of another age; knowledge that would carry Roger, his cousin Susan and her archaeologist father on a nightmare journey back in time to the Mesozoic Age.
There they faced a world of terror . . . and the sinister ambitions of a mad robot!
I kind of remembered all the ins and outs of what happened before I revisited it. Such was its impact. I remember how I was caught up in the adventure from the very beginning and then the final twist in the tail.
Alexander has a wonderful storytelling style that can be described as compelling and certainly when I was younger I was still wanting to turn pages when my head was nodding.
I am deliberately not writing any spoilers - just go and find out for yourself.
I only downgraded slightly because it wasn't quite as good (almost though) as my rose tinted specs seemed to remember (I may have just got older) and furthermore this Mist Lizard itself in the end was just a minor part of the story.
