I stumbled on this in a used bookstore and am so glad I did. Michael Van Stappen (rest in peace) wrote with such passion and authenticity about the area of the country where he lived. This collection made me want to get out in the woods and to notice and appreciate all the details around me, and to be a better observer of the natural world in my daily life.
