A slim but interesting account of life in London after WWII, with a special focus on the history of what has become known as gay publishing.
Written in about 1981 I could not help but wonder how many of these people survived another decade (Burton died in 2011). I did wish it was fleshed out more — a passing reference to a 1977 blasphemy trial was never expanded upon although what on earth was that all about? Blasphemy? in 1977? Good heavens!
