Un hommage à Thérèsia, l’incomparable: Photos par Michael Claxton

Rate this book
I have worked almost exclusively with models that are not models. The good ones all project their personalities and their femininity completely naturally. No training, just natural. My favourite models are the ones who belong in this group but who also have that extra je ne sais quoi that makes them so special to me and my camera. Without any doubt, Thérèsia belongs to this select group; she is one of the most beautiful women I have ever worked with. She was not and is not a model. She's better than that. She's completely intuitive, a naturally sensual presence and an exciting girl to work with. So many personalities, so many faces - the natural smile, the mysterious smile, the seductive lips, those exotic, pellucid eyes. Judge for yourself.

I live in Searcy, Arkansas, where I teach English Composition and Literature at Harding University. I grew up in Conyers, Georgia, the son of a printer and homemaker. I have two siblings, two nieces, and two nephews. I graduated from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta in 1994 and did graduate work at UNC Chapel Hill. After completing my doctorate in 2003, I moved to Searcy and have taught at Harding ever since. I love teaching courses in writing, world literature, British literature, and Shakespeare. I'm a member of the College Church of Christ and enjoy writing a column for "The Bison," our campus newspaper. The history of magic has been a hobby of mine for almost 30 years. Even though I'm not a performer, I love researching the stories of past magicians. "Don't Fool Yourself: The Magical Life of Dell O'Dell" came out in November 2014. It is my first book.
