When cashmere-mogul Janet marries the cowboy, she knows she'll have a lot to learn about roughing it. Tom lets her pay for the wedding, but he insists on handling the honeymoon. The budget-minded Tom, however, chooses a tropical destination which might be a little too…casual. If a newly-married couple spends their first week as man and wife trying to keep their clothes on, can the sparks still fly? Includes excerpts to the first two books in the Cypress Hollow Yarn series: How to Knit a Love Song and How to Knit a Heart Back Home.

This was a fast read. Free was what caught my eye. But upon reading it I was giggling several times. A country boy married a city gal. He is dirt poor to get being very rich. They have growing pains on the honeymoon won't go into the details. But know that it is a very fast read.
I've been reading light romances during the shelter in place order. I like Rachael Herron's books because I can easily relate to the characters and they are fun. Perfect pandemic getaway.
Tom a hired cowboy on a sheep farm marries Janet. She happens to be a divorced successful business woman who falls head over heels for Tom. Tom has issues with Janet having more money then him & that she keeps proposing to him. So, instead he moves in with her. One day he finally pops the question. He tells her he wants to make the honeymoon plan with his own money she is leary but agrees. Boy oh boy when they get to their cottage in Hawaii that is when the fun begins. As well as the true discussion that Tom never wanted to have about a joint checking account. This is a very cute short story. The characters just flowed which made it believable.
When I had downloaded this, I didn't pay attention and thought I had only downloaded a part of the book. I then realized after seeing the cheap price, it was a short story.
I loved the characters when they were in the other books. This one fell a bit flat for me. It seemed a bit rushed and just too good to be true.
Cute short story about Tom and Janet (who we met in Herron's How To Knit A Love Song) and their honeymoon trip. Nothing too racy but it's a sweet little story to keep you occupied until Herron's next book comes out.
Eh, don't waste your time with this short story. It's pretty bland and predictable, and the characters aren't as likable as Herron's usually are. I am glad it was free--I would be unhappy if I'd spent money on it.
It was nice to catch-up with Janet and Tom even if it was just for a short time; wish we had more of their story. I'm hoping they show up in the next Cypress Hollow book.
A short, to the point, love story that has me laughing and nodding my head in agreement. I began reading thinking it looks too short and ended thinking, it is just enough as is. Thanks Rachael for a nice quick heart romance!
Bought this quick little ebook because I wanted to hear more about Janet and Tom's story. It was a very funny little tale about their honeymoon. Funny and serious how when you come from 2 different worlds you can find love and happiness.
I loved the simplicity of this story! It has sparked my interest in starting How to Knit A Love Song. I met Rachel at Rhinebeck this year and she is just a delightful person, so talented!
This book was oddly cute but very very short. I wasn't prepared for how short it was! Def a fun read litterally in an 1/2 hour to an 1 hour. Not long at all!
Very short story and thankfully free on kindle - ok but went by so fast with not much substance. Don't know why it's tagged as a yarn short story when there was hardly any knitting in it.
You must have read preceding books to have the context do this one. (I had.). Even at that, very weak. On the positive...reading this helped me go to sleep last night.
