Identical twin sisters Payton and Emma Mills have “traded faces” and created “twin-dentical chaos” at school and at home. But you haven’t seen anything yet. Payton and Emma are off to “twin-vade” New York City! Payton’s drama club plans a field trip to see an off-Broadway show, and Emma’s mathletes team will compete in an elite competition. Sounds twin-tastic! But Payton never imagined the star of the show would be Ashlynn, her old nemesis from summer camp whose chores Payton traded for designer clothes. Are Payton’s “Summer Slave” days coming back to haunt her? Or will she be saved by a flip-flop twin swap? Emma has her own nemesis to face—she and Jazmine James are on the same team. But teamwork? Not so much. Since Jazmine is in it to win it…will Emma have to “twin” it? Payton and Emma must do a ‘twins-formation’ to rescue each other again. And again! (Not again!) Toss in cute boys, crazy triplet poofy Pomeranian stage puppies, and New York City and things get a little twin-sane. Is the big city ready for Payton and Emma! (or is it Emma and Payton?) and their mixed-up mayhem? Which is which in the biggest twin switch yet!
Times squared is the third book of the Trading Faces series. It is about twins named Emma and Payton. Payton is in drama club and Emma is in a math club. Both of their clubs have to go to New York city. So,the clubs go together in a big bus. After a few hours, they took a break and stopped at a toy store. They all got out and played for awhile. Then, they got back on the bus and went to a theater. When they got there, they saw a stage. On the stage was Payton's mean ex-best friend,Ashlynn. Payton, Emma, and all of their friends made a plan and got back at Ashlynn. They got back on the bus and started driving again. Their home coming school dance is coming up and everyone was really excited. So, Nick asked Payton to go with him and Payton said "yes". A few hours later, they were in times square. Then. Ox asked Emma if she wanted to go to home coming with him. Emma said, if you want to know then you should read the book.
I really liked this book. I think that this book is exciting because you never know what is going to happen. I was surprised by a lot of things and the book was really cool, how it turned out. I think that this is a great book and that you should read it.
Identical twins Emma and Payton couldn't be more different. Payton is very perky and dramatic while Emma is geeky and shy. Payton's drama club is planning to go on a trip to New York to see an off Broadway play, while Emma's math club (mathletes) is going to compete in an elite math competition in New York as well. Payton never imagined that the star of the play would be her old camp- enemy, Ashlynn. Payton did Ashlynn's chores in exchange for designer clothes. Will Payton's "summer slave" days come back to haunt her? Emma has her own problems to face as her nemesis, Jazmine James is her biggest competition. Jazmine is on the same team as Emma but will they get over their rivalry to win the competition? Will the twins need to switch to fix their problems? I gave this book three stars because it can be confusing who's who, because the point of view changes every chapter. This book is in a series and is the third one. I liked this book because I liked how the author changed perspectives. This book made me laugh and smile and I would recommend it to people who like romance, comedy, and realistic fiction. I hope you enjoy it!
I have recently read the book Times Squared by Jennifer Roy and Julia DeVillers. This is probably one of the best books in the series Julia and Jennifer have really outdone themselves.Right when I read the first sentence, the story had me hooked. There was so much detail, and the twins, they really were amazing. The plot was so interesting and unpredictable. At times there was a little suspense in a few chapters, but that just made the book even better. I think that the author described Payton's feelings really well when she sees Ashlynn standing on stage right in the front of her face! That made me laugh a lot. I think that Payton i like me because she is so happy and energetic when she is on a big trip. If you like humor and adventure, this the book for you!
This book was the third in the series in which our favourite identical twins set off to New York where they face challenges and their past comes back to haunt them. Ashlynn tries to destroy Payton's life until some amusing video footage shows the world she's not the perfect angel everyone thinks she is but a puppy kicker among worse!!! Will Nick and Ox rush to the rescue of their princesses? Or will more accidental switching cause unexpected problems? And what's with Cashmere keeping her talent hidden?
I love, love, love, love, ( infinity more ‘love,’ ) this series. Just the name gives this 3 whole stars—IF you get it. Because, Time Square, but Times for multiplication and Squared for algebra? And the book itself deserves 5 stars anyway. AMAZING BOOK!!!!!!!!!
Times Squared by Julia DeVillers I liked the book, because this book is pretty enjoying when you are reading it. The main setting in this book is in New York City. The main characters are Payton, Emma, Hector,Tess, Nick, Charlie, Ashlynn,Sydney, and Coach Babbit. The main conflict is will Ashlyhn or somebody figure out that they are switching.I would recommend this book to twins that are both girls, because this is probably going to be the exact same personalities that twins.
Payton is in the Drama Club and Emma is in the Mathletes Club and they are twins. Jazmine, Ashlynn, and Hector are their nemesis. They are boarding to go on the bus to NYC, and to board the bus you had to have Geckos Spirit. While they were at the Musical Payton sees Ashlynn and recognizes her. All Payton was scared about was will she recognize her or will she think that she am Emma. Mrs. Burkle then says “Ashlynn has exciting news; she wants to give a few of you a chance to experience her world as a professional actress!” The Geckos enter into the Mathletes Auditorium and Coach Babbitt had read most all of the rules that were required. Payton and Emma finally meet up again by them going into their hotel room 817. Nick starts to text Sydney, Cashmere, Emma, Payton and Jazmine to come meet him in the lobby for a secret meeting. Showtime! Ashlynn decides to call out people from the audience to attend in her play and their revenge plan had just begun. Payton and Emma enjoyed themselves by talking history the whole NYC tour. Then they were heading home right after the tour ended. The math competition has ended with Emma in 3rd place and ahead of Jazmine and Hector.
Twins Emma and Payton can't believe their good luck. They're both going to New York City for a school field trip. Emma and her mathletes will be competing in an elite tournament, while Payton and the drama club will be attending an off-Broadway show.
They couldn't be more excited - until they arrive.
All Emma wants to do is study for the math event. The competition is fierce, especially right in her class. Jazmine James isn't going to go down without a fight. Emma is soon forced into joining the drama club and their activities. Can she keep her focus long enough to sweep her competition?
Payton can't believe the star of the off-Broadway show is none other than Ashlynn from summer camp. It's her worse nightmare come true. Now, everyone will know about her Summer Slave days, unless she becomes Ashlynn's stage slave.
Through drama, math, friendship, frenemies, and boy drama, the twins barely have time to enjoy their field trip. With so much going on, could they actually be thinking of switching places yet again?
The third book in this series is full of fun, humor, drama, sisters, friendship, boys, and being comfortable in your own skin. I love these books, as they're wonderful reads for tweens. I can't wait to see what kind of trouble Emma and Payton will fall into next!
In this breathtaking series, Julia DeVillers and Jennifer Roy illustrate sisters tackling down the obstacles of every day life a teenager would face when preparing for the real world. In this case, when preparing for the big city. These identical twins, Payton and Emma Mills, work together once more in what almost seems like real events. It all starts when they receive ecstatic news that they will be going to New York City for a school trip. Even though they may look alike, they are portrayed as more different than alike. Payton is the twin more focused on physical appearance and boys. As a member of the Drama Club she would rather pursue a career as an actress than Emma who would rather spend her time reading books. Emma is a little more conservative and focuses mainly on school. So it wouldn't be a surprise to you that she is a participant of the Mathletes Club. Payton's drama club plans a field trip to see an off-Broadway show, and Emma's mathletes team will compete in an elite competion. Despite their differences, as the story progresses, Emma learns to let loose sometimes and Payton acknowledges that she needs her sister more than she thinks. When they finally embrace each other for who they are they can work together to take down their nemesis's.
This book is about two twins that use to switch places. One named Paton who is in the drama club, but the other one is named emma who is in the mathletes club. They find out that they are going to New York City, but when they get there they discover that thing are very different from what they thought it would be. So these two twins get on a big roller coaster that is full of drama and excitement.
pretty good, and I got a few laughs out of it, but being 13, I would've enjoyed it more at a younger age. I would recommend it for 3rd to 5th graders. I only read three of the books in this series, but after the third book it got a little old, because in every book, the same thing happens......something goes wrong and the girls have to switch places, and so on and so on. for a younger reader, it might not bother them as much, or they may not even notice.
Sophie really wanted me to read this. It was a tough one. I didn't like this kind of book even when I was 10 and the appeal is not any more clear 30 years later. I did like the characters and the support the twins who are the main characters gave each other. I'd rather read a book with twins like my daughters though. They never cease to entertain and amaze me.
The Mills twins are both in New York City for different educational reasons. Emma is there to attend a Mathletes Competition while Payton's purpose for travelling is for a drama club field trip to see in improv play. In New York City, the Mills twins run into an unexpected person from camp, Ashlynn.
I thought this book was as good as the other two released prior to this book.
This book disappointed me....a lot. Even though I like a lot of "mix" books this one was horrible. The plot was predictable. The characters were wierd. And there was a person who kicks dogs. I don't even know why I finsihed this book.
Identical twins Peyton & Emma are off on a school trip to New York City for drama club & mathletes, respectively, & must conquer some obstacles & fight the urge to once again switch places before settling in to enjoy themselves.
Another fun read with my daughter about the adventures of twins Payton and Emma, but it wasn't quite as good as the first two. It was fun "visiting" NYC though, especially when we knew a few people who actually went there while we were reading the book.
This book is amazing! I really really like this series! This book is about two twin girls who go to NYC on a school field trip. I like these books because things are always happening and this series keeps me really interested!
this book talk about two people like look the same and and day at the same because their name is Emma and Payton day can get in to plenty of toubble and about take eve other peace and the the perant the can get mad at the
