pretty informational and useful for couples. Basic common sense principles, yet many people just don't understand or "get" these concepts. I would recommend this book if you just want to be better in your marriage. It's helpful and pretty easy to read and follow--doesn't bore you with too much research--just enough to make their points and keep it interesting
My Fiance and I were given this book to read for our marriage counseling. The book is mostly percentages of happy and unhappy couples for various topics. For example, 80% of couple are happy if they split housework. The surveys done to get the results have no sources in the book. So there is nothing to back up the author's findings.
The only use of this book is to use it as a resource for topics that you should discuss with your partner. Most of the help offered in this book is common sense.
If the book had legit sources and information to back up their findings then I would rate this book better.
A readable study of various factors that cover what happy and unhappy couples feel about: -what works for them in their marriage -communication -conflict resolution skills -role relationships and dividing the home work load -managing finances -spiritual beliefs -sex relationship -couple maps -children and parenting -personal, couple, family goals.
This book covers recent data, some information on each subject and some assessments.
This is a pretty good reference for Healthy Marriages Wise Couples.
