Adam Blade is the house name for the Working Partners Ltd. ghostwriters who write the Beast Quest and Sea Quest series.

Adam Blade is in his late twenties, and was born in Kent, England. His parents were both history teachers and amateur artists, and Adam grew up surrounded by his father’s paintings of historic English battles – which left a lifelong mark on his imagination. He was also fascinated by the ancient sword and shield that hung in his father’s office. Adam’s father said they were a Blade family heirloom.

As a boy, Adam would spend days imagining who could have first owned the sword and shield. Eventually, he created a character – Tom, the bravest boy warrior of them all. The idea for Beast Quest was born.

When Adam grew up and decided that he wanted to be a writer, he was stuck for ideas – until he remembered the old sword and shield, and the imaginary boy he had created when he was young. Adam decided to bring Tom fully to life so that readers could go on the kind of adventures that he always wanted to when he was that age… And still does, even though he’s grown up!

When he’s not writing Beast Quest books, Adam enjoys visiting museums and ancient battle sites. His main hobbies are fencing and football. He also spends a lot of time at home running around after his two exotic pets – a tarantula named Ziggy, and a capuchin monkey named Omar. These little rascals were the inspiration for two of the Beasts that Tom faces on his Quest – Arachnid and Claw.

Sadly, Adam does not have his own Fire-Dragon or Horse-Man. But he really wishes he did!

I didn't like this book because I don't like lions(especially three headed lions). I enjoyed this book because when Tom defeated Trillion the three-headed lion, the lions gate appeared instead of a bunch of small lions. Trillion was very powerful and they had to lure Trillion into water to defeat him.

Another of the popular Beast Quest series. Kids love collecting these adventures and the illustrations and colourful collector cards go down well.

In each tale Tom has to contend with a new monstrous beast sent by an evil sorceror. This book is from the second series, and a nice touch is that one Beast Tom freed from an evil spell in the first series comes to his aid. A three-headed lion is a fearsome opponent, and fittingly in this plains environment we also meet a pack of hyenas, cattle and goats. Tom depends on his friend Elenna who is an archer, and his horse Storm and Elenna's wolf Silver.

This tale contains a lot of physical fighting and Tom draws strength and courage from his golden armour. There is a degree of using clever planning to help improve the odds, but mainly the tale follows a series of lion attacks so parents may want to choose wisely, though the story is still suitable for most under-tens.

This is the last Beast Quest in Avantia. Trillion seems to be unstoppable until Tom wore the magical boots. It helped him to defeat Trillion. Even though Malvel told him not to. All the other beasts turned into tiny versions of the beast. Tom waited for little lions to come but nothing happened. Suddenly after sometime A big lion mouth came popping out from the lake. It leaded to a mysterious world called Gwildor. That place was where he was from. It was very beautiful but it needed help very much. It was not being tortured by Malvel but a new arch-nemesis. THE BEST BOOK FROM THE FIRST TWO SERIES

This is without doubt the best book from the first two series! Starting with the good and evil beasts battling and basically having the whole book as different battles scenes was amazing. Using the shields multiple powers, creating plans, having the plans go wrong and setting up the next series perfectly with a 5 star ending made this my favourite by far.

i love that we started not only from a beast’s perspective but also in the thick of a fight.

i was a big fan of the sheer power of the beast they fought and how they brought this secondary quest line to a close.

i am excited to start the third quest line!

This is the conclusion of Tom's quest for the Golden Armor, and the book is, with a couple of small breaks in the action, one huge fight scene from start to finish.

I felt like the adversary, Trillian the Three-Headed Lion, suffered a bit from a tell-instead-of-show approach. We get told over and over that he appears to be essentially invulnerable to everything that Tom and Elenna throw (or swing or shoot) at him, but the writing doesn't really make the reader feel that. A lot of the scenes off Trillian shrugging off the heroes' attacks felt clinical.

That being said, the reader does get to really feel the battle from Tom's perspective, as Tom takes a beating in this fight, and there are some moments where things really look grim for Tom, and especially for his horse, Storm.

We also get an appearance by Tagus the Horse-Man, which was an added bonus reading this with my son, because we're reading these in random order, and Tagus actually was featured in the last one we read. Minor gripe: Tagus disappears from the final scene for no reason, and we never get any resolution of his role in the story.

In spite of these problems, this book brings the action very nicely from start to finish. My son really enjoyed all of the battle sequences.

Asher (6yo) read. "This story is about a boy trying to complete his quest of getting all the golden armor. A centaur named Tagus, the boy named Tom, and a girl Elenna, and a horse named Storm, and a wolf named Silver have to complete the quest by getting the golden boots. The Trillion, the three-headed lion, is guarding the boots. They save Tagus from getting killed by the beast because they were in a battle. How they saved him was Elenna shooting an arrow into the lion's paw.

My favorite thing about this book was the part where Tom helped Tagus defeat the lion with no weapons!"

I thought this book was really good. I would recommended reading the first series before this book because this was book 12 in the 2nd series. Really enjoyed it. The characters were good.

Tom and Elenna battle a three headed lion. When they do, instead of dissolving into many little lions (following the trick of this sextet) a lion head gate appears. On to new worlds.
