Every person has a dream in his or her heart that needs to find expression and fulfillment. But sometimes those dreams cannot get free without the encouragement and help of a parent, teacher, pastor, spouse or friend. This hope and encouragement may provide just the right angle to open the cage of unreleased dreams in ourselves and in others. We can all become dream releasers. Wayne Cordeiro's book provides the inspiration and the motivation to realize our full potential and to help others become all God means for them to be. The result is that we will finish life well and with no regrets.
My daughter picked this book up as a gift when she visited Wayne Cordeiro's church on a trip to Oahu, and I honestly put off reading it for several months. God brought it back to my attention at just the right time and I was pleasantly surprised by what a gem this book turned out to be!
It's a short read, but truly inspiring. I finished the book with a renewed faith and desire to revisit some of my own dreams. I also gained a deeper understanding of the relationship between investing in other people and their dreams and seeing our own realized.
A thought provoking and inspiring book that encourages one to become a "dream releaser", releasing the dreams of other people. A must read for all those who want to impact other lives.
Wayne Cordeiro has included several of his personal experiences including experiences that someone else might not have revealed. A book that not only talks about this subject in theory but rather uses practical examples that could be easily adopted.
This book is one for people from all walks of life.
"Dream Releasers turn a deadly current into a classroom and a violent storm into a potter's house. They involve us interactively in lessons of faith and help us to focus, not on the waves, but on the One who walks upon them." ~ Wayne Cordeiro, "The Dream Releasers", Page 83, Paragraph 3.
This books calls us to be someone who releases the dreams in others. It encourages us to ask God to help us to see the potential in others, particularly young people, and ask God to use us to bring out that potential.
Since joining New Hope Yokohama I've been hearing a lot about Pastor Wayne, the lead pastor at New Hope Oahu. This book has a lot of thought provoking stuff both about pursuing dreams and how to set others free to achieve their dreams. As a teacher it's long been my aim to help students achieve their dreams whatever they may be.
it was an easy read but i found myself saying "ouch" a few times when i recognized how i was definitely NOT being a dream releaser in some ways. Now that i recognize it though, i can change it and that is why this was a very helpful book to me.
This book was a gift to me several years back. I enjoyed reading it. Any book that encourages me to think forward and be free in my expression of who God made me be while challenging and encouraging me to pursue all that I believe God has called me to is a good book for me. www.jbsandifer.com
