I agree, that animal need a very defines structure to "function" the way you expect them.
I did not like that there was noo affection between the horse and the owner/trainer of said horse.
My experience, with horse as well as other animals, is that a structure does not exclude affection and affectionate handling. Contrary, it is beneficial to the necessary mutual trust between horse and owner.
