Like the title says this author is blunt about playwriting. The book covers so much ground that I'm not sure there's anything left although it's possible that more detail could be afforded to some sections. That said were I to go into playwriting with the notion of actually wanting to see my play produced I would certainly want to pick up a copy of this book to own. The end includes a number of valuable references there are also exercises to prompt you and build your writing skills and these are good not just for playwrights but for all writers. Bottom line highly recommend this book

quite informative. Martini's book offer a lot of aspects of playwriting that I was already familiar with but handles each aspect with care and good humor. perfect book for anyone wanting to try or even just learn more about the medium. I could see this being a guiding document for myself going forward.

I accidentally stole a copy of this book from my English teacher.
Mr. Perry if you see this I’m sorry, you moved schools before I could return it to you; but it is safe and in good condition, I hope I can give it back one day.
