The kids have been wanting to read more about the Fish in Sweet Pickles. It’s summer (we like to read Sweet Pickles in the Summer) and I found the Fish book. There was excitement in the house. If you have ever been curious as what a fish looks like riding a motorcycle then you need to read this book.
Fish is a daredevil. He likes being fast and getting people’s attention so he starts doing all kinds of stunts like driving his motorcycle up a slide and doing a backflip off of it. Everyone is scared, but he does it well. He keeps upping the ante. Fish is just that kind of personality.
The nephew loved this. He is somewhat of a daredevil as well and I can see him doing things like this. He scares the living daylights out of us sometimes, but mostly, it’s due to his clumsiness and getting hurt from not paying attention. The niece likes these books and she read this too. She read it on her own this time. The nephew gave this 5 stars and the niece, who thinks a fish riding a motorcycle is hilarious, gave this 4 stars.

Oh, the joys of re-reading my favorite book series to my 2 year old niece!! She FaceTime'd me one Saturday morning and we read this book together (we each have a copy.) I loved how Fish sets her goal, makes a plan, and then puts it into action. What a great lesson for the littles! Go Fish, Go!
