Pretty much what one would expect of the Supernatural companions. Includes a lot of black and white photos from episodes and on set, etc, along with commentary on episodes, character bios, bits of trivia -- the usual. Also has a section of glossy promo photos and such. Lots of comments from the actors on their characters and where they think everything's going.

Supernatural: The Official Companion Season Six opens with a brief but informative forward by Adam Glass, Supernatural writer and director, that explains how the series, which was supposed to end after season five, managed to continue on into a sixth season. Before the companion gets down to the business of episode recaps and favorite quotes, author Nicholas Knight gives us a nice summary of season six, starting with Sam in hell and ending with Castiel in turmoil. Interviews with the series writers gives insight into the directions that were taken during this unexpected yet welcomed season.

Nicholas Knight turns in a rather pedestrian television companion in Supernatural: The Official Companion Season 6. As with the previous books, an episode-by-episode review is included, featuring cast and crew interviews, along with a photo gallery and character profiles. But a lot it feels like propaganda, more so than in previous seasons; there’s no admittance of things that didn’t work or disappointments in how any effects, characters, or story arcs turned out. Still, there is a lot of good behind-the-scenes information and interesting Closer Look sections that delve into the creatures that were featured. Supernatural: The Official Companion Season 6 is one of the weaker entries in Titan’s series, yet offers fans plenty of material to enhance their appreciation of the show.

I love reading about the making-of TV. Still, I don't think this "companion" was that great to read.

Part of it might me because I bought this years ago and I since decided to stop watching the show. Also, I know those official products like to paint it like everybody and everything is sunshine and rainbows but that's boring and if, like me, you like to read about TV making online...well, you don't learn much.

Still, if you want to fresh up your memories about Supernatural episodes, it's ok.

I really like these glimpses behind the scenes of "Supernatural" and get to know what actors, producers, writers, composers, stunt coordinators and so on think about the episodes and that you learn little bits and pieces about making a show like "Supernatural". All the black and white & coloured pics are a wonderful bonus. :)

Lots of interesting things, and found out a lot of stuff that I missed from just watching the episodes.
