This book was the start for my reading to know more about microbioogy, not just because of my master degree but for my career as clinical pharmacist.

The book was simplified in a very neat way, organized and maybe talk about all the important things, but I think it was purposed for the public not for medical students. Although I cannot deny that it benefits me in many ways, as the basics was forgotten.

overall it was a good book, maybe it was somhow old and not to depend that much on antibiotics there.

This book is basically like Barton's or Cliffnotes for microbiology. Starting from the top down, it highlights the various topics and then digs a little bit. I don't know if it makes microbiology easy, as I didn't bother to recall all of the different types of protozoa. However, I got the gist. Thus, Mission Accomplished.

Simplistic to the point of being confusing, information sometimes inserted randomly, adding to the confusion. Still, there were glimmers of interest, and a decent section on how to prepare specimens for viewing under a microscope. Without a lot of detail, though.

If you are looking for a biology book that talks to you as a reader. This is it. The book is really laid back and definitely a good read.

Clear and concise. Covers most of the topics in Prescott, Harley, Klein's Microbiology. It is good enough preparation for my attendance at Saturday's Microbial Sciences Initiative (MSI) Symposium.
