I love the DK Eyewitness Books. Even though this book is geared to an older children's audience it is still great to use with toddlers and young children. The pictures can guide parents to discuss certain features and aspects of the topic. Our 4 yr old loves to pour over the pictures and discuss what he sees. Our older son can read the in-depth descriptions about space and not get bored.
I grew up reading these Eyewitness Books and have always enjoyed reading through book after book in this series of interesting facts about essentially any topic. These books provide a great read for any curious young reader and can also work as a nice addition to any teacher's library.
