After the excitement of The Far Euphrates, this book was a huge disappointment. The stories were very WEIRD, with unlikeable characters, unclear endings, and a repetition of character names that confused me - including characters from Far Euphrates with different stories. One of the stories was also too heavy on the science and lost me in mumbo-jumbo. I'm pretty bummed. Starting his third book Illuminated Soul, hoping for better results!

What I liked: The story "New Memories" with Aunt Blossom.
What I didn't like: Almost everything else. The stories feel pretentious and overthought.
Who I'd give this to: Someone typing on their computer in a coffee shop.
