This book was impressive in spite of its seemingly childish cover. Blackwell does not ignore the less rosy aspects of the legal profession such as job dissatisfaction and a lack of opportunities, but maintains that opportunities exists for those truly interested in the career. She also includes useful sections going over different areas of law and different jobs that involve the law. Other authors on the legal profession tend to skim over how broad the profession really is, but Blackwell does not. This reader would have preferred these descriptions to have been written in greater detail. A strong recommend for those considering a career in law.
