Can she forget the past and fall for both her heavenly Angel and his handsome, devilish brother?

Heather Rainier lives and writes in South Central Texas. Her stories offer up the content of her fantasies, with humor, tragedy, and triumph mixed in.

Heather's love of romance fiction began as a teenager when her mom gave her copies of Kathleen Woodiwiss's "The Flame and the Flower" and Bertrice Small's "Skye O'Malley". To this day she's pretty sure that was her mom's version of the "birds and the bees" talk.

Heather writes the type of novel she loves to read: More erotic and edgy than the mainstream, with plenty of sweet romance mixed in and a happily ever after guaranteed. Heather's favorite type of hero is the gentle, lovable giant but readers will discover a wide variety of heroes and alphas on the pages of her novels.

When not at her keyboard, Heather is usually busy corralling her teenagers, or loving on her smokin' hot husband, who thankfully loves to cook.

Heather invites readers to e-mail her at heather.rainier@yahoo.com and also to visit her website at www.heatherrainier.com

Read this book back in February but had not done a review, so here goes...

This is book three in Divine Creek Ranch series with Angel and Teressa that we met in a previous story.

This was such a sweet wholesome love story between Teressa & Angel that I absolutely loved. Angel is just the kind of sweet, caring guy you just want to put your arms around and hug him to death. Teressa is sweet and shy and is perfect for our Angel. She has been trying to raise her adorable son, Michael, by herself and hesitates to let anyone else into her life until she meets Angel. Angel is exactly what she needs as he is so patient and loving with both her and her son that she cannot help but be won over by him.

Great read and great series.

When Teresa arrived in Divine with her son, she was timid and kept mostly to herself. Over time and with the help of a few close friends she has come out of her shell. When Angel Martinez gets a good look at Teresa he knows there is a past that she is running from but it has no bearing on the feelings he has when around her. With patience and understanding, Angel continues to draw Teresa out with plans on becoming a permanent fixture in her and her sons life.

Joaquin Martinez has a reputation around the rodeo circuit for bieng a prime candidate for warming the buckle bunnies bed. His first glance of Teresa tells him one thing, those days are over. Introducing the possibility of having two brothers loving her has Teresa feeling like she is on cloud nine, she knows that her life wont be complete without Angel and Joaquin in it. In order to move forward, they will all have to conquer the ghosts of the past but they are more than willing to do it as long as they have each other.

I am officially addicted, this one for me is a 4.5. I read it out of order because in the first book Divine Grace there was hints of something between Teresa and Angel, plus I was curious about her past. I love how new characters are introduced and also the favorites from the other books all make appearances in the books.

***I have been thinking about rereading this one for awhile, just as good the second time around. I wish the author would write a book about Allen, he is not in it a lot but definitely leaves an impression.

OMG, why do people rate these books so highly? The writing is very stilted with extremely two-dimensional characters which almost become cartoonish as time progresses. Speaking of which, one of the most jarring elements of this book was how the author chose to pace it. A scene would occur in which the hero and heroine had a sweet but bland date, and the heroine berated herself for not opening up about her painful past to the hero. A mini-crisis occurs and then the start of the next chapter indicated it was the next month and the heroine was STILL thinking about telling him about her history! And she finally did tell him, the reader gets it IN FLASHBACK FORM since we've now missed an actual scene where that event (which has been the mystery/buildup of the first quarter of the book) occurs.

All of this added up to me actually not caring about any of the characters and realizing that my ability to suspend disbelief actually does has a limit, and that is that a pathologically shy, sexually inexperienced rape victim who can only manage to kiss her boyfriend of several months can actually transform into a sexpot capable of handling an ménage relationship.

I returned this book to Amazon citing "quality issues".

I am impressed. After two novels that seemed to go on far too long, Ms. Rainier has finally hit a sweet spot. Not too short, and not too long.

Once again, I am thoroughly astounded by how quickly our heroine, Rachel, evolves. It takes six months of gentle wooing by Angel just to get her to the point of kissing. Then Joaquin shows up and she's ready for full-on sex and maybe some anal, and then can all three of us hop in there together? Cuz I love you both sooo much.

Rachel's little boy, Michael, is absolutely precious. He takes to having two new daddies with no problem. And he tries so hard to be just like them. It's adorable! It almost makes me want to have kids.

After reading the first few stories in the Divine Creek Ranch series, I was ready to be disappointed. Much to my surprise, I was not!

I feel that the story is well done, from beginning to end.

If you've read the series so far, don't stop now. I think we're just starting to get to the good part.

I remember loving the first book of this series 10 years ago, I was feeling nostalgic and wanted to see what happened to Teresa. Back when this was the style/before I knew better, I probably would have loved this. But ten years later, it's pretty dated and flat and a little offensive in a couple of spots. It's wild to remember what the trends were like back then. I didn't enjoy reading this book (though good on Teresa for finding a happy ending) but I'm glad to be reminded how far romance has come now.

Shows its age badly. Good for its time but this series could do with some modernising rewriting.
Teresa changes from scared rape victim, to apparently giving the best bj hero no 2, otherwise known as manwhore, has ever had. This just comes across as ludicrous.
I also hate having a man come straight from another woman’s bed into the heroines space.
Angel, hero no 1 and Michael, Teresa’s son, really were the nicest ones in this book.
Angel is the sweet type of hero I adore.
Read many years ago and I am trying to reread and review once again.

What's better than a smokin' hot cowboy ready to pledge his love and undying devotion to you? How ‘bout TWO smokin' hot cowboys ready to pledge their love and make every naughty fantasy you've ever had come true. Sound good to you? Yeah, me too, and that's exactly what you get with HEAVENLY ANGEL. And along with an emotional story of love and redemption and strong characters, this book was a hit!

This is the third book in the Divine Creek Ranch Series, and it features Angel Martinez, the foreman at the Divine Creek Ranch. He's had his eye on a skittish young filly by the name of Teresa for a while now, and she seems to be coming out her shell--so it it's time for him to make his move.

Teresa has moved to Divine after a very traumatic event in her life, and she's trying to make a good life for her and her young son, Michael. She can't seem to help the attraction that she has for Angel, and when he asks her out, she decides to take a chance and say yes. They slowly start a relationship and she falls as hard for him as he does her.

As their relationship is progressing, Angel's brother, the equally gorgeous Joaquin, shows up, and Teresa has just as strong a reaction to him as she did to Angel. Joaquin sees Teresa and instantly falls in love with her. Now, she's got two men after her when she didn't think she could handle one.

As I stated earlier, HEAVENLY ANGEL is the third book in a series, but it can be easily read as a standalone. There were so many reasons to love this book, I'm not sure where to begin. It's quite long for an erotic novel at about 370 pages, but it's very entertaining so I thought the pages just flew by. I loved these characters. Teresa, who has been basically smothered her whole life has suffered some horrible events in her life, but she's a lot stronger than she gives herself credit for. She makes a life for herself and her son. She also has the courage to go after love when she didn't think she could ever let herself trust anyone again.

Next, we have the Martinez brothers...YUM! Hot, loving, and extremely sexual, they have no problem letting Teresa know that she's the one they want to spend the rest of their lives with. They are also fantastic with her son, which makes them that much more delectable. Michael, Teresa's toddler son, probably stole the show for me. Very precocious, he has some of the best dialogue in the whole book and you just can't help but love him. He has some of the funniest scenes in the entire book, and at three years old, was already breaking all the ladies' hearts. There are also some other great secondary characters and the descriptive world building simply made the town of Divine seem that much more real, the kind of place you really wouldn't mind visiting.

One of the best things for me was the emotion in this book. Angel moves very slowly with Teresa. He doesn't know for a long time why she's so scared of being with him, but he respects her boundaries. Then add Joaquin in the mix, with his not-so-stellar reputation of being a "buckle bunny slut" on the rodeo circuit, the transformation he makes when he falls in love is Teresa is amazing. Yes, there is plenty of hot sex in the book, but it's the depth of emotion that is truly at the forefront here. And to be honest, that's what drew me into the book the most.

HEAVENLY ANGEL features a wonderful plot, excellent characters, sensual and erotic love scenes, and amazing world-building all set in the close-knit community on the Divine Creek Ranch. It certainly made my visit to the ranch a memorable one, and I will make certain that it won't be my last.

Monica's Review

Get ready to just fall in love with this storyline. From the moment that you start reading this book there will be a little boy that will captivate your heart. He is just adorable, just like the two cowboys that are seeking to be part of Teresa’s heart. Angel and Joaquin are going to be excellent fathers to Michael and will care for him and love him just the way they love Teresa, if she will allow it. I love how the storyline was written of a single mom with her child and how her life came to be. She has a rough living after her traumatic experience and how she never gave up in order to provide for her child. After getting to know her love of her life she was able to open her heart to Angel but can she be that open to Joaquin after just meeting him?

Teresa is in love with Angel Martinez and she decides to finally take the bull by the horn so to speak. After so much that they have shared together it is about time she took the next step. Teresa made such great progress in building her self-confidence with the help of one special friend, Grace. She learned so many things that were taken from her when she was younger that she glows from the emotion. Teresa was able to take her time in trusting Angel with her life and also with Michael’s that she fell madly and deeply in love with him. I loved how the next character, Joaquin, was able to win her heart so easily but because she started healing and trusting what her heart said, and not only that, but she had her self-esteem soaring high. That is one thing that I admired about her, that no matter what, she was able to face her past and confront it head on and she won.

I know that I should just give some detail on her two lovers and I will give her a little sneak peek of who they are but I have to hand it to Ms. Rainier, Michael won my heart. He is a handsome 2 ½ year old little cowboy that is just out of this world. He will have you laughing so hard that you truly think you will wet your pants. He is handsome, adorable little cowboy that loves to imitate Angel and Joaquin in the way they speak, walk and even flirt. That little cowboy will be a heartbreaker. Especially since his favorite way of addressing a woman is saying their name and ending it with baby and he will be making any woman proud out on the dance floor.

Now for the two handsome cowboys that exist in this book, Angel and Joaquin, what can be said about them? They are HOT, HOT, HOT. Each brother has a different story to deal and holds a special place in Teresa’s heart. They are sweet, kind and willing to wait for as long as needed for Teresa to be comfortable with both of them. They are perfect gentlemen. They show her how a man should make love to a woman and how they are to please her first and not themselves. They are able to show her every fantasy that she has and more. Angel and Joaquin each had a truly romantic way of wooing Teresa and admired them for how calm and relaxing they were. They were truly raised by perfect gentlemen.

They all three have a chemistry that is sizzling and they make the perfect family. Each character brings the storyline together and makes it perfect. I won’t spoil things, but I do have to say that Ms. Rainier did an excellent ending with Teresa, Angel and Joaquin that I have been waiting for since reading the Series of Divine Creek Ranch. I recommend this book to anyone willing to read a good romance book, you will not be disappointed.

I was really excited to read about Teresa's story since she's really shy and reserved. I'm glad Angel finally noticed her and was patient with her until he earned her trust. What happened to her was really traumatic and only a strong woman could live through that and come out whole.

The novels could be standalone but better read in sequence, they're not really in chronological order, but happening simultaneously. The epilogue of the first book happens 3 years later where Grace, Jack, Ethan, and Adam already have a baby girl. The second books' epilogue was sexy in a strip club.

Angel courted Teresa and let her feel safe with him, he never disrespects her or makes her feel embarrassed. I like how he took things slow with her. Those two couldn't have been more perfect for each other after suffering from a bad and unhealthy relationship, in this case Teresa's wasn't even an official relationship. It's a blessing Michael never got his biological father's genes. He's a sweet kid.

The courtship took longer than 6 months but when true love hits you in the face, like in Joaquin and Teresa's case, you don't need to understand it immediately, you'll eventually do.

Angel and Joaquin's parents have been the subject and example of long-term menage relationships since the first book and it was their mother who hinted that they might make it work with Teresa.

I really admire Teresa's character, her shyness isn't weakness, just brought about by a devastating experience. With Angel and Joaquin's love, she glowed and became more confident, not afraid to face people, especially other women who want her men.

Sex scenes were really tender and erotic, especially with the mirror and toys. I love how naughty Teresa emerged from the shell of shy Teresa and it was a good transition. She was innocent until she became a temptress, and she has the body for it too, I appreciate the friendships with Grace and Rachel, girlfriends really gotta stick together.

My favorite part is they waited until after the wedding to make love. It's conventional, but it's sacred at least for me. Michael was really adorable and he took to Joaquin immediately. There were emotional moments that brought tears to my eyes that's why I gave this a 5.

This book will hold a special place in my heart because Michael, the heroines 3 yr old son reminds me so much of my Son at that age. My Dad wasn't a cowboy but a good ole Ky boy that always wore a cowboy hat and boots. My Son worshipped my Dad so of course any and every chance he got to wear pappaws hat and boots, he took. We of course got him his own but there was something special about wearing Pappaws'. Also my Son loved to sing, his favorites were, Smokin in the Boy's Room, Bad to the Bone and Kokomo by the Beach Boys, he was particularly fond of the Beach Boys but loved country music also lol. Whenever my Son needed to use the potty he always had to be naked, well almost naked. Whether peeing or the other, he would strip down to nothing, put his boots back on then go potty, we had several near misses and of course some accidents because of this little ritual but this was the way it had to be in his mind lol. If he was sitting on the toilet doing his business you could always hear him singing at the top of his lungs one of his favorite songs and if yiou happened to peek in ob him you would find him sitting there singing and swinging his little legs as fast as they could go and waving his arms in the air, basically dancing on the pot while doing his business while being completely naked except for his cowboy boots lol. He was also very fond of running around in nothing but his boots and hat, whether indoors or out. He wouldn't start out that way but numerous times I would get a call from the neighbors telling me he was running around naked except for boots and hats, he was the joy of the neighborhood lol. Reading this book brought back so many HAPPY memories and made me want to go back and relive them or do it all over again lol. Being 49 yrs old and hubby 54 yrs old, he wasn't too enthusiastic about that idea lol. Can't wait for the next in the series.

This series has something with expensive gifts. It is like the author think that is how a man shows his love, with lots of jewelry and lingerie. It was like this on the other books too but in this one there is even a price tag. (like 2hundred dollars gift card after all other presents, or a two carat ring which hero emphisizes on its size while defending the heroine to another man for some reason) There are so many instances that they buy things for her. It is so much and the heroine never bats an eye, never says no I am independent or I am not for sale or something like that.
Other problem is that, ok, she is innocent and all but pleaseeeee, she does not know ANYTHING, really? And I hate it when so innocent virgin girls tries blowjob for the first time, and they are so talented at it that a man-whore like that second hero falls in love with her style. That job takes serious dedication and learning, it has nothing to do with natural talent. If you are talking about a no-gag reflex girl, that is another matter.
She was so innocent and so scared one day, the next day she was lap dancing and having threesomes. The author tries to deal with this by adding a fast-forwarded 6 month period, but nothing happens on that period. Nothing more than kissing. Ape does not turn into modern man with just one step up.
The story.... There was no story for me. Not enough for so many pages. There were so many pages of dull sex and so many pages of everydaylife events and of course the men's presents to her, opening of those presents, presentation of those presents, usage of those presents bla bla bla, even if there were 400 more pages there would have been no place to add a story to it.

This has to be my favourite book in the series so far, but not by far as all the books I have read in this series I enjoyed immensely.

These books have a permanent place of my keeper shelf, or in this case on my Kindle. I've reread this book and the preceding ones more than once.

I have been rooting for Angel and Teresa since he got rid of the wicked witch of a girlfriend (if you could even call her that!) and the author showed the attraction between them in earlier books.

I always feel I get more than my moneys worth with a Heather Rainier book, no quick flash reads, a nice long read to warm you on a cold wet afternoon. I totally fell in love with her little boy Michael, his scenes always had me laughing and wishing he was real and I could scoop him up in a great big hug.

One of the things I like is that Michael wasn't a caricature of what a child should be, and I didn't have to read through a mixed up version of supposed 'baby talk' to try and understand what the author was trying to tell us the child was saying.

Heather's little town and it's inhabitants are a place I loved to escape to. I read quite a bit, where 3 people are together and two of the men are practically clones of each other and only when their names are used you can tell which one is talking. I'm glad Heather's men don't fall into that trap. Also I am liking that more curvy women - instead of anorexic stick figures - that are getting the man now!!

Book Three in this series about the people who are connected to and live around the Divine Ranch. The foreman of the ranch has come out a very destructive affair with a woman and is not seeking to move on with his life. He meets a beautiful Hispanic woman who works with his boss' wife and who is trying to hold her life together for her and her son. As in all three novels in this series, the main characters are involved in a very intense love relationship and ultimately this affair grows to include two brothers and the beautiful lady. One characteristic of this author's writing is that there is not the usual initial love-hate conflict between the lovers. In this book as in both preceeding books, the lovers' relationship moves along more like most love relationships grow. Yes, there are problems and upsets, but somehow they work them out, just as real people try very hard to work things out without all the theatrics we so often encounter in romance fiction. I happen to like this author's writing style and she is a very good storyteller.

Basically liked this story, but why only three points gave him the - too fabulous, and I could not wait to finally done something to it than sex. The interior is divided into two parts get to know Angel and Teresa, their relationship gradually unfolds as Teresa's tragic past.
Angel has courted her for six months before things really are turning to more serious among them - this is real life. But then you see Joaquin, the younger brother and her one afternoon is enough to make our heroine Twist head. I've read a few stories in this genre and I think that would not hurt a little reluctance on the part of Teresa.
The especially liked that the heroine is not the type of mannequin, but there are curves, but the guys are almost perfect.
Probably the rest of the series is going to read it but I think I need a little break before the too much emotion is drain on my monitor.

Through the series Teresa has made some big strides. With this book she has made so many more. I liked the quiet courtship that Angel had with Teresa. He knew what he wanted and knew he had to play for the long game. I was a bit surprised with how easy Angel accepted Joaquin, but I shouldn't have been considering the family the brothers came from. I wasn't sure how Teresa would react, I sort of thought she might pitch a fit, instead she allowed the attraction and let things roll. I liked how all three of them talked about things within their relationship.

As much as I liked the romance, it was little Micheal who stole the book. I loved how he was with Teresa, how he took to Angel and Joaquin, immediately called them "Daddy", how he flirted with all the women. But what was especially cute was how he would spout these profound words about love and why Teresa was so pretty.

I enjoyed Divine Grace and Maya's Triple Dare but this book was not good at all. It was way too long and frankly, boring. It was saccharin sweet and read like a Young Adult novel, instead of a hot, steamy book. I agree with the other reviewer who was frustrated with the weird fast forwarding and flashbacks. The whole relationship between the trio was hard to read, mostly because of the heroine. So, she had a sheltered upbringing, became a single parent, etc. but did that mean she had to be soooooo innocent to life now? It was PAINFUL some of the scenes. The heroine was so innocent about sex--didn't she have the Internet? It was totally unbelievable. I found myself skimming just to get this book over and done with. If you like you heroine in her 20's but really going on 13, this book is for you.

WOW! This is Teresa's story and what a beautiful story it is.

A close friend of Grace's (as is everyone since she met her men in Book 1) and a work colleague, she sets the ball rolling for Teresa to find her HEA.

Angel and Joaquín are the guys after her. Angel is a patient man, takes his time to woo said lady. Joaquín comes along and falls for her strait away, but is willing to step back if she isn't interested.....

A gorgeous love story, we all dream of at some point in our lives and I really did enjoy meeting these characters.

Again, well done Heather...... The town is building slowly with a wide range of people to inhabit it. Thank you for another great book in this series.

Every step taken between Teresa and her men is done with care and class. They love each other so completely and passionately that every word and action is infused with emotion. It may be hard to imagine someone with Teresa's background being so open and accepting, but the tenderness and care that Angel and Joaquin show towards her has her blossoming right before your eyes. She is a delight to read, and her son Michael is just icing on the cake of this sweet and decadent story.

These books are an okay break from the mundane but as I am on to the third book now it is becoming noticeable very quickly how repetitive the stories are. Everyone has the same exact kinks, the same problems, tend to say verbatim exactly the same things and it is really only the number of people involved that varies. At least the stories have gotten shorter so you can enjoy them as a quick pick me up as long as you don't try to read too many of them in a row and let the repetitiveness get to you.

Angel Martinez has healed from being shot by his psycho ex-girlfriend. He has wooed Teresa Palacios for months so they can have the future he craves. Teresa has a painful past and comes with a two-year-old son. Things are coming together when Angel's bull-riding brother Joaquin arrives at Angel's house on Christmas Eve. Can Angel and Joaquin have their HEA with Teresa?

Angel and Joaquin have to be my favorite two cowboys in this series. I loved this story and how Teresa gains confidence to love Angel and Joaquin.

I really loved Angel,Teresa & Joaquin story! I love that Heather's books go much more into depth about all sorts of different things. There are a few elements that I was not overly fond of throughout the story but those are my own personal views. I have to say though my favourite funny scene was when the girls went waxing OMG it was hysterical wahaha so funny! I really loved the story and I am looking forward to the next book!

This is definitely one of my favourite books of the series. For one, I am able to relate to Teresa's personality. Being scared and afraid, unable to hold eye contact with guys, being wary of them...I love how Angel takes time to get her slowly acquainted and comfortable with him. Much swoon. It was amazing watching her bloom. Michael, her little boy, was super duper adorable as well which was a plus. Such a little gentleman and charmer. He's going to be a lady-killer when he grows up.

Very sweet story. Teressa was very sweet and shy and I loved how patient Angel was with her. What a couple of hunky hotties but the male who stole the show was darling little Michael. What a cutie.
Why are all the heroine's in this series plus-sized? This is starting to bug me. And why all the references to Hips and Curves. com? Does the author have stock in it or something?

One single mother plus two hot cowboys equals a page turning you cant put down. Add to that little Michael of 2 1/2 years old and you have an instant hit. It's easy to almost picture little Michael singing to himself in the bath, getting his new daddy's to do the pee pee dance and a million other cute and adorable things he comes up with!

It has taken me to this book to figure out what I really enjoy about this series. It's like we have a really long epilogue, a glimpse into the future. The no conflict might bother some, but I love the love between the characters. They get together and we see how they are going to be, when most books have them get together then bam book over. Good job Ms. Rainier.

Teresa and the Martinez brothers kept me glued to all the action in this thrilling story. When the family of her son's father makes threats of taking him, the Divine Creek residents come together in solidarity to support her and the Martinez brothers against. This story touched my heart and had me in their corner from start to finish.

The earlier Divine books teased us with this story. I was really routing for this match for Angel! And Teresa really deserved a happy ever-after!! What a great story and I just can not wait for more!!! Love this series to pieces!

Really enjoyed this third divine creek book. I don't that Michael (Teresa son) made this book for me. My only complaint about any of theses books are their too long but this one was better being only 360ish pgs. Great HEA.
