Amidst a series of twisted events, he learns from a tree possessed by a spirit that he is the Deliverer; a legendary being destined to take all souls that roam the earth to their final resting place, but that place is unknown and there are many who wish to stop him. Things get even more complicated when he meets Suidowgé, a nobleman turned shepherd from a family whose 4 members rule the sky city of Peak; the richest, greatest city in all the world. This ambitious, violent man holds many secrets, several of which concern Rae and his true origins… and when Rae is made aware of all that he is capable of, he must decide either to help the vicious Suidowgé rule the world that the ancestors of whom they both shared envied or continue the path given him by his suspicious spirit protectors. Brandon C. DeRiggs authored the book, Deliverer. The story revolves primarily around Rae. At first, Rae had a dream where he went to the island to see if he could catch some fish that he would eat for dinner. As he lay there, a mighty beast arose from the waters and angrily shook its tail, causing great confusion among the inhabitants of the water and land. Rae found himself hanging in the air. A bright and strange light covered everything, and Rae found his unconscious self on the ground. Fast forward to the next event that occurred, and he sees himself resting beside a tree in a forest. His experiences in the forest showed him that there was more to the forest. A part of the tree spoke to him and gave him a mark on his arm. In real life, Rae learns that he's the Deliverer who will bring positive change to the earth from Penludan, the spirit living in the tree. He has to pass through several continents before returning to Earth.

Along the way, he meets Suidowgé, who claims he knows Rae's real identity and that Penludan's intentions for him aren't good. He also claimed that he was once a powerful ruler who wanted to reclaim his land. Who would Rae turn in for? Was he able to return to Earth? What were Rae's experiences on the different continents like? Get this suspense thriller to ascertain all that transpired.

I love how intense this book's plot was. It kept me glued to the story till I got to its end. I would say that Rae's character was amazing. The great curiosity he exhibited when he got to that forest showed that he wanted to find out the hidden secret in that place by himself. Had he not explored the place, he wouldn't have encountered the tree with the strange apple. Secondly, I love how connected the events in this story were. I didn't struggle with understanding the subject because there was no presence of ambiguity in it. The initial dream Rae had made it easier for him to know that he was indeed the deliverer after he physically met Penludan, who equipped him with unique powers and abilities. Furthermore, the long black mark Rae got in the dream made him agree with Penludan's statements that the mark signifies that he is a special human. Another aspect of this book that fascinated me was the twists incorporated into it. Rae was to be judged in the Great Court of his village after his experiences in the dream. What exactly was his crime? Did his unique abilities save him in the end? Read this fantastic story to find out.

I was intrigued by the impact of Penludan on Rae's life. He tried his best to guard him whenever he was in a tough situation. However, Suidowgé tried to cause a separation between them. Did he succeed? I got to know the truth after reading this book. In addition, the characterization of this plot was great. Many characters were mentioned, and their roles in the story made the story more engaging. I love how the land of Peak, where Suidowgé hailed from, was described. It implied that it was a magnificent place, and this made me more enamored with the story.
This book deserves to be rated excellently. Hence, I give it a rating of five out of five stars. I disliked nothing in it. I love mystery thrillers, and this made me resonate with the storyline. In addition, it was exceptionally edited considering that it didn't stumble upon any form of error. The story was fast-paced, which made me not get bored of reading it at any point.

I therefore specifically recommend it to avid lovers of fictional stories, ardent readers of mystery books, people who get fascinated after reading action and suspense thrillers, and anyone who loves novels filled with twists because the plot of this book will interest them a lot.
